Our mission

Provide liquidity, stability and affordability to the mortgage market in Armenia.

Our main goal

Create conditions to make mortgage loans affordable for low- and middle-income families across Armenia and improve those families housing conditions.

 

We also prioritize energy efficiency measures that improve the living conditions of Armenian families and support sustainable development goals. To achieve this, the Company obtained a second-party opinion on its green bond framework from Moody’s.

 

We also actively participate in the implementation of state housing social programs.

We refinance mortgage loans on a wholesale basis and do not provide loans directly to individuals. Instead, we collaborate with banks and credit organizations by offering them long-term refinancing loans at low interest rates. This partnership enables financial institutions to offer affordable mortgage loans, making housing more accessible for households in need of financing.

 

For our operations, we utilize both our own resources and funds raised through capital markets and international partnerships.

Registration and licensing

National Mortgage Company universal credit organization closed joint stock company was established by the Central bank of Armenia and was registered under the CBA Board Decision N 182A dated June 16, 2009.

On 19 October, 2011, under the CBA Board decision 1/1167A, the Company was renamed as National Mortgage Company refinancing credit organization closed joint stock company.

Significant participants

The sole founder of the Company is Central Bank of Armenia (Resolution No. 1/705A, June 3, 2009).

Regulatory capital of the Company consists of 2,924,444 (two million nine hundred twenty four thousand four hundred forthy four) ordinary shares with AMD 17,070 (seventeen thousand seventy) nominal value each.

Our brand and corporate style

Our corporate style reflects the Company’s identity and values. It includes the logo and a well-defined corporate color palette.

 

Logo

The logo is based on a pillar and a key. The key is formed by the pillar’s third vertical line combined with the ellipse above it.

  • The pillar symbolizes stability, strength, and reliability.
  • The key represents home, hearth, and ownership.

 

Color

Our primary color, vinous, was chosen as a symbol of stability, trust, and a solid business image.

Corporate ethics

The purpose of  the Rules of personnel conduct (hereinafter referred to as Rules) is to establish rules of professional ethics and etiquette within the Company, which must be adhered to by all the employees.

These rules are intended to:

  • Serve as a guideline for all employees of the Company,
  • Assist employees in performing their daily job responsibilities, 
  • Regulate the behavior of the Company and its employees in various situations,
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the Company's corporate culture,
  • Strengthen the Company's corporate reputation.

Our credit rating

In 2024, the Company received its first-time credit ratings from Moody’s Investors Service — Ba3, which is aligned with Armenia’s sovereign rating.
